Image
Hey Guys and Girls, as usual apologies for such a late blog post! so if you follow my Instagram you would've seen that i went inter-railing with my friends around Europe as a first year of college summer trip... and wow wasn't it amazing! So...... today i'm giving my advice on how to do it like we did in this video and the tips and tricks to getting it for the best price. when do you start planning it all? well we started to get organised around Christmas and had started saving before then. The main thing to do when you're planning is to pick the last destination and work your way backwards. For us we chose Croatia is our main destination to relax in and stayed there 5 days. We booked the flights to there and the villa the same day, that was our first purchase. How to start booking? Start for example book the flight to croatia from your next place that you're staying and so on. We booked the usual route; Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Croatia...

These old granny patent shoes accompanied this outfit with a simple pair of tights and a black cold. People aren't joking when they say Paris is cold!!! The 'train driver' hat

Image
Okay, am I the only one who's obsessed in looking like a train driver ??? These 'train driver' hats can be found everywhere!! Topshop, or if you're like me, pennys. If you've a round wide face as I have then boy is this the hat for you, the curved nature of the hat helps to deceptively make your face seem slimmer and elongate your face. It also hides them haters of your train driver hat.. I have found it in black for 20 euro in Topshop which is where this hat is from, a pennys version with a metal kind of rim for 4 euro. Pennys now stock a grey and white striped hat which was on my Instagram earlier in the week [seenbygrean1]. They also have a grey and white tartan one. I'm now on the hunt for a nude/brown suede one!! so if anyone finds one please please inform me SeenByGrean         XO

First college experiences..

I, as like many was extremely apprehensive before I started college, the whole not knowing, no plan [everything up in the air] as well as having only a few of my school friends going to the same college as me. The first day came around and of course my social awkwardness came into play. I was ready to stutter my words, roll them into one sentence and start frantically sweating if somebody asked my name. I also tend to laugh if I'm in some awkward situation, anyone else do that?? The amount of societies I signed up to was too much for my bank account. 5 euro for a food society... sure I figured that was the most profitable one as it would involve getting food but that was sadly not the case.... They talked about food but didn't eat any?? Lecture timetables I've come to realise are not for me....... Times all over the shop, too many places to be, my handbag [ yes I'm trying to be stylish ] slowly but surely about to rip with the wait of my laptop. I decided [the onl...

Foundation Reviews

Image
As many of us know, there are so many types of foundations! But if you're like me you're going to want; 1. Cheap 2. Good Quality (no cake face please) 3. Good Name Sadly... it is very hard to find all these qualities in a foundation. So for todays post I am reviewing some low cost foundations, hopefully you find this helpful! Foundation No.1: Nyx Foundation This foundation is my favourite out of the four that I'm reviewing today. It is the third cheapest. The reason why I first bought this foundation was because I needed one for when I got tanned on holidays, the foundation is lightweight and not heavy on the skin. It isn't a full coverage foundation in my opinion but it still gives you a flawless finish which is great for day wear or if you want a minimal makeup look when you're out on holidays. It is a squeeze style bottle that runs out easily when opened. You barely need any of the foundation which is handy economically as you don't need to constantly...

My Trip to Magaluf - 'MAGA'

Image
Hey SeenByGrean here, After I finished my exams I went on my '6th year holiday', where else would I pick than the classic 'Magaluf'', or as other people say 'Shaga' luf. I was so worried about my trip before I went as many would be. However; it is nothing like how it's made out to be like! So.... where did I book? I did my research and looked around to see where would be the best place to stay. I had heard of BH Mallorca and decided that was the place that I wanted to go. It was an all inclusive holiday with free food all day and free drinks from 9-8 at night. This meant you didn't need to spend extra money on food during the trip. This worked out cheaper In the long run. BH Mallorca. While staying here I got 2 concerts included in what I payed originally! Other people outside had to pay 50 euro! It also has a waterpark in the facility! PIRATES This may sound childish and lame, however; it is an acrobatic show with all you can drink sangr...

Love Island Craze

Image
Hey guys SeenByGrean here! I'm sure you're all, well most of you have been watching Love Island or even heard of it. If not, well you're possibly living under a rock.... It has been the biggest craze over social media than any other show, but how come?? It's believed that smart people get excitement from watching this reality TV show due to the similar situations that we're in, the drama and humour. The main question is what couple is going to win the show??? Kem and Amber seem to have the strongest couple but I don't think they can win with Olivia and Chris causing drama but portraying the stronger relationship. Gabby and marsel seem to be on the rocky side... What do you think?

Recipe of the Week

Image
Hey Guys SeenByGrean here, as usual I always post a recipe of the week, this week is my favourite recipe of all time, its great for breakfast and deserts! Cinnamon Buns! This recipe is great,  the water must be luke warm when adding to the yeast remember! Once the yeast has reacted then add the flour and the other liquids. Combine to form a dough and leave for around an hour until risen. Then combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon to make a paste to spread on the dough. Roll it together and cut slices. put it in the oven for around 20 minutes in 180 degrees. Hope you enjoy! SeenByGrean          Xo ...

Exam Stress = Less Success

Image
Hey Guys, SeenByGrean here, Its been a while since I last did a blog post and you're probably wondering why..... I just finished my Leaving Certificate which is the final exam in secondary school before college. I, myself get quite stressed usually with exams however this year wasn't so bad. My blog from now on will consist of reviews as well as personal blog posts such as these. I hope you enjoy! If anyone wants any advice or help please leave a message below! How to study? It's easy for me to sit here and talk to you about how to study without doing it. Everyone has different methods and it is different for each person. Personally I have found that writing in some way helps to get it into your head! Sometimes I even scribble without looking at what I'm writing just to use the action of writing to learn! it looks weird but trust me it works. ...

OOTD- 18th Birthday Breakfast

Image
Hey Guys, SeenByGrean here, sorry for my lack of posting! Ive been studying for my final exams at the end of the year! If you follow my Instagram you would've seen a post on this outfit that I picked for an 18th breakfast I went to. The jumper shirt is probably one of my favourite piece of clothes so far! Its so handy and comfy however it looks dressy and fashionable. The top/shirt jumper is from- Zara , pretty sure I got this for only 22 euro The jeans are a dark navy which tones well with the jumper - from H&M and the boots are from- Boohoo . These boots are the handiest things to have in your wardrope! They give you height elongating your legs and helping them to appear longer than they actually are. The style of boots will be seen this year as theyre a major trend and are seen in various shops. There is a cheaper version of these boots in pennys which come in; Navy, Khaki, red, black and a camel! If you guys have any questions or suggestions let me know SeenByGre...

My Favourite Product of all time!- Makeup Eraser

Image
Makeup Eraser- Bought in Mccabes Pharmacy Hey Guys, SeenbyGrean here with my ultimate favourite new product, The 'Makeup Eraser'. I recently received it as a birthday present and I'm literally obsessed. I got mine for 23.99 euros , it may seem a tad expensive however it is supposed to last a year after having washed it! So how does it work? Well basically due to its texture, which is a soft towel feel, it takes off the makeup having had hot water applied to it prior to use. Another side can also be used as an exfoliator to remove old tan or to buff out your skin. The Eraser itself is soft and not harsh on the skin, therefore I resulted in no redness or scratches/marks. Would I recommend this product? 100%, there is no doubt at all that I wouldn't buy another or recommend it to a friend!! If you've any questions feel free to ask me on this, or follow my Instagram; seenbygrean1. SEENBYGREAN            XO

Sleek Matte Lipgloss Review

Image
Hey Guys, SeenByGrean here, sorry I've been so distant! I've been on holidays! So from now on I will regularly post every Wednesday and Saturday with news and certain reviews!   So today's product is the Sleek MatteMe Lipstick. What is it? Well basically it is a Lippy which is in the shape of a lipgloss and when applied, it mattes on your lips giving you the effect of a lip tint which doesn't need topping up! It gives you a velvety finished look.  Review of the product: the lipstick, as it appears so dark, is daunting to put on at first as its so dark! To get the full affect, it's best if you apply a full coat of it, WITHOUT DABBING ANY OFF PRIOR! Once the Lippy is on, if your lips are not moisturised properly it will show the cracks, as many mattes do! I do love this however as it is so dark when trying to clean it around your lips, it can get everywhere as its a tint! The Lippy is my favourite colour of the 5 and I would highly recommend it! They ...

10 second Bperfect Tan!!

Image
http://www.bperfectcosmetics.com/product/tan/ Bperfect Tan- takes only 10 seconds to develop! You've got to be kidding! Well i'm not! Where can you buy it? You can buy this tan in any pharmacy or online on the website; http://www.bperfectcosmetics.com/product/tan/ The tan is £24.99 and also comes with a free mitt. The mitt has a velvety side to make sure the application is evenly applied on the skin. The mitt itself would cost 5 euro for any mitt! The bottle contains 200ml of the tan and is a spray top. So whats my review of it? The tan is now my favourite tan that I've tried, having tried cocoa brown, vita liberata and Bbold. The great thing about this tan is that it can be applied to your face. The tan didn't cause my skin to break out which I was happy with. The tan gives you a simple glow which doesn't make it obvious that you've tan on! It doesn't streak or blotch in areas after applying it. The tan is different to other types as it only dev...

Healthy No Carb Meals

Image
Spiralized Veggies Spiralized Veggies, seem to be the new health trend of this summer 2016. They can replicate the texture of pasta however without consuming Carbohydrates and eating more vegetables. So I decided i'd give this a try! As a result I didn'd find them bad! Theyre great if you stir fry them for 5 minutes, then add pesto and garlic for flavour. Cook them in garlic then add the pesto. You can add some cheese for a source of Calcium. This meal is high in Vitamins, especially A and low in Carbs so if your planning on doing exercise or sport make sure to put in a source of Carbohydrates, otherwise its not important to have it. As a source of Protein you can throw in cut up ham or chicken, low fat meats. As this is a new trend, many people are coming up with new creative ideas, for example, this one which I found on food network on snapchat. Basically what they have done is spiralized Zucchini which you can do yourself with a spiralizer eg from Kenwood or it ...

Festival Necessities

Image
Hey Guys, SeenByGrean here and since so many festivals such as Longitude are coming up this summer there are a few key things that are needed for a key festival look! A Waterproof Poncho - these raincoats not only keep you dry but they also give you that easily accomplish-able festival look. These coats can be purchased on Boohoo for only 4 euro! They come in both pink and yellow. They work great if you've a pair of boots on. Imagine, even when its raining you'll still look the part! Chunky Coin Necklace-   These necklaces ultimately give you a look of 'effort' without even trying. As seen on Beyonce it is fair to say that these are in fashion! I found a replica to Beyonce's necklace on Boohoo for 12 euro in silver. Pennys/Primark also has them in stock as well as other simple but stunning nedcklaces. These necklaces shouldn't be worn if your wearing a top that covers your shoulder blades as it completely covers your tshirt. It is great if your wea...

Quay Sunglasses

Image
Hey Guys, SeenByGrean here and today I purchased a pair of Quay Sunglasses and let me just say.... I've never been happier! I've wanted Quay sunglasses for so long and I finally have them. This pair of sunglasses are called 'Cherry Bomb' in rose gold at a price of 45 euros. I purchased them in topshop but you can purchase them on their website. As like many i'm very apprehensive when it comes to purchasing sunglasses as I always crack them or they stretch but that has not happened. These glasses are stiff and are barely flexible which decreases the chance of them breaking. Their sunglasses are unique and different people have different opinions towards them so make sure to look at their website! By the way guys there will be a Boohoo Haul this week so make sure to stay tuned.                                 ...

Recent Makeup purchases- Dislike or Like?

Image
Hey guys, SeenByGrean here and it's finally my summer holidays! Hence the reason it has been so long since I've had a blog post! Stay posted as later on I will be uploading a video of all my purchases (a Haul) from various shops. The first product I'm going to review is the Maybelline Dream Bronze BB cream. This BB cream is my favourite! It covers all your flaws without looking caked or even that you have makeup on! It also gives you a glow, a bronzed glow! Wearing a BB cream is so much better for your skin, it makes sure that your pores aren't blocked. This BB cream also has a SPF of 25 so you can wear it during a sunny day in Ireland and you don't have to worry about burning!. This BB cream comes in a pale colour, which allows you to put it on your face as a pace for bronzer/powder. The BB cream costs 9 euros. Sleek makeup has only recently come to Ireland as is loved by many so the first product that I bought from them is an Illuminator. I purchased ...
